Bonfires have long been a summer tradition and for good reason. There’s nothing more fun than an open fire and your favorite people. Bonding time truly does not get much sweeter than a bonfire with s’mores and sandy toes.

This past month Coastal Concierge was asked to help plan a simple engagement dinner party. The bride to be was not a fancy girl but liked good food.
We were thrilled to help plan this night filled with so much love! What a great reason to do a dinner party!
The groom-to-be planned to ask his girlfriend to marry him on the beach that afternoon (same day as the dinner party) …. confident she would say yes, he wanted to do something special for her and include her closest friends.
Lots of pillows and blankets helped to make it the perfect cozy evening. Sunflowers galore and of course what would any bonfire be without smores!
He said, “I want this to be memorable!!!” That was easy! We knew just what to do. A bonfire dinner on the beach!!! What could be better on a summer night in July…
All along, as the team was planning this evening we were all so nervous and kept saying, “WHAT if she said NO?”…. oh NO!!! What would we do??? But we knew we needed to move forward with our fingers crossed for a positive outcome. The night was perfect, a slight breeze and bright, sunny skies. The perfect setting for this romantic evening… but would she say yes???
We started with a local in-season crudité platter…
We enlisted the help of our friends…
We knew Sydney’s could help put together the perfect picnic menu and know just the right beach food that could be served at room temperature.
Individual popcorn in a bag, beach-friendly foods…
The main course was poached salmon, snap peas, grilled veggies, and an orzo salad.
Great evening, good food and friends to help celebrate this couple’s future together…..

While I usually envision the perfect bonfire set up on the beach, you can have an incredible time with or without the sound of waves crashing, in the comfort of your backyard. We can set up with a fire pit and all the fixings for a memorable bonfire and smores.
Just think, you throw a party with no house to clean and minimal set up whether it’s on the beach or in your backyard. Just a great way to enjoy an evening with friends.
And what a unique way to celebrate a special occasion… birthdays, engagements, graduations… we can set up a memorable experience that the guest of honor and your friends will remember for years to come.
